Love is sweet....

Sweet treats are a significant part of any occasion and it would seem that now Weddings are no longer an exception. From the wedding cake to favours and even the magic that is a candy buffet or ice cream cart there are countless possibilities when it comes to adding a touch of sweetness to your wedding celebration.

I have dreamed since day one of having a candy buffet to add an element of fun to the wedding party and to give everyone a chance to mingle while making their own pick 'n' mix bags to take away. Yet again via sources such as Pinterest and Facebook there are many companies who can accommodate your wishes for your big day.

I love this sweet cart from the Victorian Sweet Cart Company, you can find out more details by visiting their Facebook page or by visiting the website. The Victorian Sweet Cart Company are based in County Durham but cover the whole of the North East of England and also Yorkshire.

Another gorgeous candy cart can be hired from Candy Cartwheels they provide their cart for hire within Kent, Essex, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex. You can find out more details by visiting them via their Facebook page or by visiting the website.

If you are looking for something sweet to give away as favours or as an addition to your candy buffet then why not choose something bite size but equally gorgeous - Cakepops! These brilliant creations are available for all occasions and in a fantastic range of designs and flavours. Go visit CakePop Bouquet on Facebook to have a look at their full selection. The cake pops start from as little as £1.25 with a minimum order of 8.

One of the key elements to a wedding is always the cake, it forms a focal point for the whole celebration and can be used to highlight a theme or personal message between the bride and groom. However, more recently the options have become more varied to include a tower of cupcakes as an alternative choice.

And of course, the wedding cake, traditionally served to bring good luck to all the guests and the newly married couple they vary in size and design and more recently can be found in a wide variety of flavours. Depending on the theme of the wedding the cake can be designed as a focal point to bring everything together or can sometimes be a little bit of fun for a talking point between the guests.

I came across a tutorial while browsing on Pinterest which teaches you how to make a beautiful birdcage cake. I'm not sure what skill level this would be for but it's a truly amazing cake. Check out the tutorial here.
